I've become extremely particular about work shirts over the years.
After enough time around a forge, I've come to the conclusion that no synthetic shirt I've tried has ever performed in heat as well as natural fiber. Every one promised to wick moisture, but somehow I always spent the day feeling hotter and wetter than I would have in cotton.
After a lot of reading and a fair amount of trial and error, I settled on the garment-dyed heavyweight ringspun cotton shirts from Comfort Colors. They're the best work shirts I've found, so they're the ones I decided to print.
They cost me nearly three times as much as the alternatives, but I'd rather make less on the shirt than put my name on something I wouldn't happily wear myself.
They're reminiscent of the old heavyweight T-shirts I grew up with. They soften over time, the color fades gracefully, and I think they look better after a few years than they did the day they were printed.
