Mooring Tray
The Mooring Tray is the first object born entirely from my new workshop in Astoria, Oregon.
Since relocating to the Oregon coast, I've found myself drawn to the working waterfront—to the ships, weathered infrastructure, and industrial forms shaped by necessity rather than decoration. The Mooring Tray is a direct reflection of those influences.
Each tray begins as a piece of steel before being forged, textured, and formed by hand. The Storm-Worn Red finish is inspired by the anti-fouling paint found on the countless ships anchored throughout the Columbia River, then intentionally weathered to reveal the blackened steel beneath. It's also available in a traditional Waxed Blackened Steel finish.
Designed as a simple catch-all for keys, a pocket knife, a watch, loose hardware, or the small objects that accumulate throughout the day.
Each tray is individually forged and finished, so slight variations in texture and appearance are part of what makes every piece unique.
Approx. 8" × 3" × 1"
