The Wharf Hook is a compact key carrier directly inspired by the hooks, rigging, and working hardware of the Astoria waterfront.
The hook is designed to slip over a belt loop or strap, while the 1/2" forged eye accepts a standard split key ring (included). Each piece is forged and finished individually at Astoria Forge, leaving subtle variations in hammer texture, profile, and finish.
Finished in weathered oxide red and blackened steel.
Approx. dimensions:
3-1/4" long × 1-1/8" wide × 1/4" thick
1/2" eye
Sidenote: Although I didn’t design these with any serious load-bearing use in mind, I expect them to happily sustain well over 1,000 lbs. I’m planning to send a few out for load testing, mostly because now I’m curious.
